French League to hold minute’s silence after Paris shootings

The French Football League (LFP) has announced that a minute of silence will be held ahead of each of next weekend's Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 fixtures in the wake of Wednesday's shootings in Paris.
A number of staff at French magazine Charlie Hebdo, as well as policemen, were killed in the tragedy which has shaken the nation.
A major police operation is still underway on Wednesday evening to find the gunmen, who fled the scene.
With the country still in shock, the LFP confirmed that a minute's silence will be held at all grounds in the top two tiers over the next fewdays.Additionally, Lille's delayed top-flight meeting with Evian at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Wednesday evening had a minute of quiet before kick off.
"A minute's silence will precede the weekend meetings of the 20th day of Ligue 1 and the 19th day of Ligue 2," read an LFP statement.
"This evening, a minute of silence will be observed before the match between Evian and Lille, a game delayed from the 14th round of Ligue 1."
